Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks an R&D Systems Engineer for the Nuclear Deterrence Program Management Office. You will coordinate stockpile program reporting, maintain cross-program contacts, and drive risk assessment improvements to enhance efficiency and program execution. Onsite work is required due to security and mission needs.

Ideal candidates will have a DOE Q clearance and a strong background in systems engineering within national security programs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform independent research and development.
• U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate reporting from stockpile programs to support internal and NNSA management processes and generate concise summaries.
• Maintain a strong network of contacts across stockpile programs to facilitate information flow and timely customer requests.
• Partner with line organizations to validate risk assessments and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
