Job summary

Kraft Heinz seeks a Scientist, Away From Home and KHI Product Development to support development across the Away From Home and KHI portfolio. You will translate business needs into practical development plans, guide technical execution, and ensure projects progress from formulation through scale-up and commercialization.

The role requires strong technical judgment, project management, and problem-solving across product categories, with collaboration across functions and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• BS in Food Science, Food Engineering, Dairy Science, Meat Science, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or related field with 2 years of experience or MS with 1 year or PhD with no experience
• Experience in product development and commercialization
• Understanding of ingredient functionality and interrelationship of ingredients and process
• Excellent communication, influencing, prioritization, and project management skills
• Strong critical thinking and ability to see the big picture
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate others
• Willingness to travel ~30% of the time

Responsibilities

• Support product development across cross-functional projects within Away From Home / KHI, including innovation and brand maintenance
• Drive workstreams from formulation through scale-up and start-up
• Manage from ideation to commercialization, from benchtop to finished product specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance projects and meet timelines
• Assist manufacturing plants with troubleshooting, process design, and quality issues
