Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Glenview, IL is seeking an Associate Scientist for Away From Home and KHI Product Development. This research-based role supports projects across innovation, renovation, and brand maintenance, requiring a strong technical foundation and the ability to apply scientific principles to new situations.

You will manage multiple assignments, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to hands-on development and commercialization from benchtop samples to final production, including

Qualifications

• Good communication, critical thinking, and investigation skills.
• Self-starter with a passion to learn is a must.
• Handle multiple assignments/tasks concurrently with the ability to question the priority of work.
• Strong understanding of Design of Experiments.
• Willingness to travel 30% pending business needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct benchtop experiments to support innovation, renovation, and brand maintenance.
• Test products for flavor, texture, color, nutritional content, shelf-life, and standards.
• Support development and commercialization of new products and renovations.
• Collaborate with Packaging, Quality, Operations, PM, Marketing and Sales to meet objectives.
• Support feasibility assessments, prototype development, costing, and factory trials.
• Document recipes, labels, and technical approvals; perform shelf-life assessments.
• Assist with pilot plant and scale-up to manufacturing.
• Progress projects from ideation through to commercialization.
