Job summary

Kraft Heinz is seeking a Scientist for R&D Product Development to lead multiple product development projects across brands. You will design/testing, analyze data, and support commercialization in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.

Ideal candidates have a BS in related field with 2+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with less requirement. Expect travel up to 30% across US/Canada; base salary range listed below and a performance bonus may apply.

Qualifications

BS in Food Science/related field + ≥2 years of relevant experience; or MS with ≥1 year; or PhD with no experience required.
Product development and commercialization experience.
Understanding of ingredient functionality and interrelationships of ingredients and processes.
Knowledge of consumer goods, food chemistry, analytical testing, formulations and processing used in food manufacturing.
Excellent communication, influencing, prioritization, and project management skills.
Strong critical thinking and ability to connect to the big picture.
Ability to lead, coach, and motivate others.
Willingness to travel up to 30% to US/Canada plants, co-manufacturers, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Lead product development projects across multiple brands from concept to launch.
Design and execute product testing, analyze data, and document conclusions.
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and Finance to drive results.
Coordinate product tastings and sensory evaluations with cross-functional teams.
Travel up to 30% to US/Canada plants and suppliers.
