Qualifications

• PhD in material science, polymer science, synthetic chemistry, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant material chemistry experience.
• Expertise in synthesizing new materials.
• Experience with physical characterization of materials.
• Innovative and problem-solving mindset; agility to learn new analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of product development for base material in chromatography, including development, qualification, and validation of test methods and implementation of test methods into a QC environment.
• Help surface chemists to develop new stationary phase with the new material.
• Stay up to date on scientific literature in material science, analytical chromatography, and market trend.
• Work with customers to find new opportunities.
• Collaborate with production team to improve production process and product quality and consistency.
• Serve as the technical lead for customer support when needed.
• Analyze data and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Provide presentations to summarize scientific findings internally and externally.
• File patent applications.
