Job summary

Actalent is seeking a dedicated R&D Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team in Woodinville, WA. You will assemble prototype systems, run experiments, and document results to accelerate development and improve processes in both lab and field settings.

This hands‑on role requires CAD familiarity, instrument data acquisition, and the ability to follow drawings. You may travel to support field installations; the position is contract‑to‑hire and onsite with a pay rate of $55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Technical school or associate degree required; practical industry experience accepted.
• Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition using sensors.
• Familiarity with CAD and reading engineering drawings.
• Experience with PLCs or microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of pumps, blowers, heaters, and piping/ducting.
• 3D printing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prototype systems per drawings and engineer directions.
• Set up and run lab tests, collect data, and interpret results.
• Create documentation: assembly instructions, test procedures, drawings.
• Identify improvements to speed up builds and tests.
• Support field deployments by fabricating, testing, documenting, and shipping equipment.
• Travel to assist field installations as needed.
