Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support product development, prototype builds, testing, and reliability evaluations of electromechanical products. Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronics.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with wiring harnesses, control panels, and test fixtures.
• Proficiency with data acquisition, instrumentation, and lab testing equipment.
• Familiarity with PLCs or industrial controls is a plus.
• Ability to work in a laboratory/test environment with hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build, wire, modify, and troubleshoot prototype electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Assemble electrical test fixtures, wiring harnesses, control panels, and evaluation equipment.
• Install and integrate motors, relays, switches, sensors, and power supplies into prototype systems.
• Perform soldering and rework of electronic components to support design changes.
• Set up and execute electrical, functional, performance, and reliability testing.
• Configure and operate data acquisition systems and data logging equipment.
• Document test results and communicate findings to engineering teams.
• Assist with PLC and industrial control system troubleshooting at a basic level.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for prototype builds and tests.
