Job summary

Innove, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to support prototyping, product development, and testing within the Engineering and R&D team in Macedonia, OH.

You will translate concepts into functional prototypes and production‑ready solutions, while aiding manufacturing, field service, and customer support with troubleshooting and documentation. The role requires hands‑on lab and CAD proficiency, detail orientation, and strong collaboration across cross‑functional teams to drive improvements

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in engineering tech.
• 2–3 years in prototyping or engineering tech.
• Experience in manufacturing, product development or R&D.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficient in CAD and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, modify, and test prototypes.
• Refine prototypes based on test results and feedback.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve manufacturability, reliability, performance and serviceability.
• Document prototype builds, testing outcomes, and recommended design improvements.
• Assist with new product introductions by modifying inventory, tooling, fixtures, and production processes.
• Create and update 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Develop and maintain BOMs, product specs, work instructions, and other docs.
• Review drawings, schematics, and technical docs for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Assist engineers with design validation, tolerance analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain revision control of drawings and documentation.
