Job summary

Innove, Inc. seeks an Engineering Technician to support prototype development, testing, and production readiness. The role bridges design and hands‑on implementation, contributing to optimization and field support.

You will build and test prototypes, document results, and maintain CAD models, drawings, and BOMs while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability and performance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in prototyping, mechanical design support, or engineering technician role.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, product development, or R&D environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on technical skills.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or similar).
• Experience with prototyping tools, fabrication methods, and basic machining or assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, modify, and test prototypes to support new product development, proof‑of‑concept work, and engineering validation.
• Document prototype builds, testing outcomes, and recommended design improvements.
• Create and update 2D/3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, work instructions, and other supporting documentation for new and existing products.
• Review engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability.
• Assist engineers with design validation, tolerance analysis, and continuous improvement of product designs.
• Maintain revision control of drawings and technical documentation.
