Medtronic is seeking an R&D Product Engineer II to support engineering changes for wound management products. You will own design changes, perform testing and analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and manufacturability.

The role emphasizes design ownership, cost reduction, quality improvements, and supplier collaboration within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, or related) is required.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's, or 0–2 years with a Master's degree.
  • Experience with medical devices, wound management, or absorbable products is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots, and provides technical support during product development and manufacturing.
  • Updates engineering drawings and specifications with CAD software; conducts tolerance stacks and evaluations of design changes.
  • Proposes design improvements to components or products to improve quality, cost, or manufacturability.
  • Coordinates activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.
  • Writes engineering reports and creates presentations to document and communicate results.
