Job summary

Medtronic plc is seeking a Design Quality Engineer II for Released Product Engineering Quality in the Wound Management portfolio. You will provide quality engineering support for post-market and sustaining activities across released medical devices, ensuring changes and investigations comply with the Medtronic Quality Management System and design controls.

This hands-on role partners with design, manufacturing, regulatory and other teams to assess changes, update documentation, support risk

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 0+ years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into finished products.
• Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Devises and implements inspection/testing methods and evaluates products and equipment.
• Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms; conducts QA tests; performs statistical analysis.
• Ensures corrective actions meet reliability standards and documentation is compliant.
• May specialize in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation or reliability areas.
