Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field required.
• 3–5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
• Excellent PC desktop skills required.
• Ability to read templates is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills required.
• Experience working in a regulatory environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate applicability of materials for doors and related applications.
• Develop and test new materials offering improvements for doors and applications.
• Evaluate effects of material and process changes on current approvals.
• Generate and test doors and related designs to meet organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain specifications and technical documentation.
• Maintain testing facilities, certifications, procedures, and records.
• Provide technical support to customers and facilitate label agency communications and inspections.
• Supervise product development technicians and interface with QA, Marketing, and Manufacturing.
