Job summary

TE Connectivity’s Automotive Business Unit seeks an R&D Product Development Engineering Intern to support engineers, assist with mapping TE connectors to vehicle platforms, and track system requirements and designs. The role offers hands-on experience with OEM programs, testing specifications, and engineering changes.

You will gain exposure to DVPR and SCR processes, collaborate with TE engineers and OEM teams, and participate in vehicle build events and pilot programs during a 10–12 week

Qualifications

  • Have earned a high school diploma or GED.
  • Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support during customer build events and vehicle assembly plant investigations.
  • Participate in issue reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Serve as a first responder to customer technical, design, and quality requests.
  • Collaborate with account managers, product engineers, product managers, and automotive team members to support customer needs and business growth.

BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
