Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Buyer II to manage a broad range of purchasing activities for R&D projects in Superior Township, MI.

You will coordinate PRs, RFQs, and POs, collaborate with engineering and other departments, and support cost analysis and budgeting with the Finance team. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years in purchasing or supplier management, with strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• 2–4 years of purchasing, supplier management, or related experience.
• Experience with indirect procurement, services, contractor sourcing, or capital equipment purchasing.
• Experience managing RFQ processes, competitive bidding, supplier selection, and vendor management.
• Ability to analyze quotations, contracts, and supplier proposals to support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the purchasing process (PRs, RFQs, POs).
• Collaborate with engineering and internal departments to support procurement requirements.
• Develop sourcing strategies and execute RFQ processes, including bidder selections and pricing analysis.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through competitive bidding and vendor negotiations.
• Onboard and qualify vendors to support operations and projects.
