Job summary

ELY S IS welcome to apply for a Technician role at the US R&D facility in New Kensington, PA. The technician will support development and production activities for advanced materials and manufacturing techniques, including operation, testing, and scale-up tasks.

You will work on material batching and sample testing, with emphasis on safety, collaboration, and data-driven results within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and strong aptitude in a skilled trade.
• 2+ years in an industrial environment with emphasis on material handling.
• Strong safety focus per EHS standards; attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to train others.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, JMP, Access or similar databases.
• Strong documentation, organization and analytical data skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute tasks including material batching, handling, and equipment operation and maintenance.
• Prepare and test samples for chemical composition and physical properties.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude; lead disassembly, repair and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain safe work instructions in line with EHS practices.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts and other mobile equipment.
• Work a 12-hour rotating day/evening shift; initial daylight schedule, Mon-Fri.
• Coordinate project activities; ensure documentation, schedule and metrics are met.
• Record and analyze data; communicate results to team.
