Benshaw, Inc. is seeking an R&D Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team from concept to production, owning the technical roadmap for LV/MV soft starters and drives.

You will guide architecture decisions, supervise engineering talent, and collaborate with product management and sales to ensure on-time delivery. The role requires deep expertise in power electronics and motor control, with a track record of delivering products through a structured development process while complying

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years in power electronics or motor control development, with 5+ years leading engineers or projects.
• Hands-on design experience with VFDs, soft starters, or similar equipment.
• Strong understanding of IGBTs, SCRs, gate drive design, magnetics, thermal management, and protection.

Responsabilités

• Own multi-year technology roadmap for LV and MV soft starters and drives in coordination with product Mgmt and sales.
• Lead architecture decisions for power topologies, cooling, and control platforms.
• Guide technology choices including SiC devices, embedded connectivity, and cybersecurity.
