Job summary

Qnity, Marlborough, MA, is seeking an experienced Polymer and Synthetic Chemist to create new molecular and polymer platforms for advanced semiconductor packaging. The role combines hands-on synthesis with understanding product needs to deliver materials with tuned thermal, electrical, interfacial and mechanical performance.

You will lead cross-functional projects across R&D, Applications, Manufacturing, and Quality, mentoring junior scientists and ensuring robust documentation and IP

Qualifications

• PhD with 3+ years industrial polymer/organic synthesis experience.
• Experience tailoring materials for lithography and adhesives.
• Proven IP generation and publication track record.
• Strong analytics: GPC, NMR, LC/MS, HPLC, FT-IR.
• Ability to collaborate across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute polymer and organic synthesis for semiconductor materials.
• Publish reports and patents; support IP strategy and documentation.
• Assess literature and competitive landscape to guide research.
• Develop analytics for polymers and assess structure–property relationships.
