Job summary

Planet Pharma in Minnesota, Plymouth, is seeking a Project Management Specialist to support the Research & Development Portfolio Operations. You will define scope, budget, and timelines for projects, develop and manage detailed schedules in Microsoft Project, and monitor execution against plan.

You will proactively identify risks, dependencies, and changes, and work with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation or recovery plans.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Research & Development Portfolio Operations group on cross-functional project teams as the PMO representative.
• Build, baseline, maintain, and actively manage detailed cross-functional project schedules in Microsoft Project, including dependencies, milestones, critical path, and schedule impacts.
• Monitor and control project execution against approved schedule, scope, and key milestones, identifying variances and driving recovery or mitigation actions as needed.
• Analyze project schedules to identify critical path, dependencies, schedule risks, and potential impacts to project milestones.
• Facilitate proactive risk and issue management, including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, ownership, tracking, and escalation.
• Manage project scope and changes, assessing the impact of proposed changes on schedule, resources, milestones, and project commitments.
• Lead project planning and execution activities across cross-functional teams and maintain clear project communications.
• Track and communicate project performance, schedule status, risks, issues, and key decisions to project leaders, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• Manage changing project priorities through effective schedule management and application of project management methodologies.
• Keep project leadership, sponsors, and key stakeholders informed of capacity constraints, dependencies, and portfolio risks.
• Implement project management best practices, tools, and techniques within projects and PVH R&D.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO.
