Job summary

Herbalife Nutrition in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Sr. Pilot Plant Technician / R&D Process Technician to join the state-of-the-art Innovation and Manufacturing facility. The role focuses on conducting experiments in the R&D Center of Excellence, generating samples, and documenting data in line with GMP.

You will lead and mentor technicians, work independently on routine tasks, and ensure delivery of quality projects on time and within budget to support the R&D COE.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related industry or laboratory experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiar with common laboratory equipment.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office and other job-related software.

Responsibilities

• Implement development activities, including dispensing raw materials and generating R&D samples for internal or external evaluation, manufacture of feasibility trials and/or pilot batches, and completion of physical testing.
• Document all experiments and results in development batch records/protocols and/or laboratory notebooks and electronic files.
• Set up, maintain, and clean laboratories equipment and work area.
• Maintain raw material inventory.
• Follow all safety procedures and practices. Maintain a safe work environment.
• Implement detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Write formal scientific experimental reports.
• Perform a wide variety of development and/or production laboratory tasks and experiments.
• Mentor laboratory technicians and provide feedback to group members to help accomplish project objectives.
• Ensure all documentation produced is in compliance with cGMP standards.
• Contribute to audit readiness and participate in quality audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
