Job summary

Bluegrass Ingredients is seeking a Lab Technician (Hourly) to support pilot plant operations, sample preparation, and routine testing in our R&D lab. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, sanitation, and adherence to GMP and safety rules.

You will operate Pilot Dryer and related lab equipment, assist scientists, prepare samples, and contribute to sensory evaluations and shipment of samples. Ideal applicants have a high school diploma and up to 3 years of hands-on lab experience, with

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required.
0–3 years experience in a lab or manufacturing setting.
Neat, clean, and able to comply with GMP, safety, and loss prevention procedures.
Punctuality and a positive attitude toward coworkers and job.

Responsibilities

Maintenance, operation and sanitation of Pilot Dryer, pilot lab equipment and Pilot Lab facility.
Run product trials on Pilot Dryer and record test parameters on make sheets.
Operate small roller dryer, dry blender and sieve, monitoring temperatures and moisture.
Maintain organized records of retained material and dryer hours.
Use ATP swabs to check equipment sanitation as needed.
Assist in creating and shipping samples and participating in production sample sensory evaluations.
Follow all plant regulations and safety rules and perform duties as assigned.
