Job summary

CoorsTek is a leader in advanced ceramics manufacturing, committed to safety, quality, and customer focus. The R&D Technician II will prepare and evaluate ceramic samples, image microstructures, and support characterization work in microscopy and ceramography.

The role requires experience with optical microscopy, SEM, and image analysis, along with careful documentation and a strong safety mindset. On-site position with active collaboration across R&D teams.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of related work experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate ceramic and related material samples.
• Operate optical microscopy equipment to capture images and evaluate microstructure.
• Support SEM microscopy activities including coating, imaging, and documentation.
• Perform routine grain size measurements and image analysis.
• Maintain records of porosity, cracks, inclusions, defects, and preparation artifacts.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and lab procedures.
