Job summary

Radiance Technologies is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer to join the Scientific and Technical Intelligence Group in Ruston, LA. You will design, develop, and integrate mechanical and thermal systems for circuit card assemblies, and test solutions in a lab environment alongside electrical and software engineers.

The role emphasizes first principles analyses, hands-on prototyping, and detailed technical documentation. US citizenship with ability to obtain clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 3.5 and GPA listed on resume.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA NX.
• Proficient in GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and design for manufacturing.
• Experience in heat transfer mechanics and thermal systems for electrical gear.
• Experience with standard electrical lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and integration of mechanical and thermal systems for circuit card assemblies.
• Perform analyses using first principles to solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document technical work.
• Prototype, test, and support low-rate production builds; conduct failure analysis.
