Job summary

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and integrate mechanical and thermal systems for circuit-card assemblies and supporting technologies. You will work hands-on in a lab with electrical and software engineers, performing thermal analyses, prototyping, failure analysis, and producing detailed technical drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• GPA 3.5 or higher listed on resume.
• Hands-on prototyping experience (e.g., Formula SAE, CubeSat).
• Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or CATIA NX.
• Experience with heat transfer and thermal systems in electrical applications.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Ability to generate engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and fabrication documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and integration of mechanical and thermal systems for circuit card assemblies.
• Perform analyses using first principles to solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and produce technical documentation.
• Prototype, test, and support low-rate production builds and failure analyses.
