Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced R&D Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical components and systems for production. You will create 3D models, drawings, and documentation, and lead projects from concept to prototype and launch.

Collaboration with electrical, manufacturing, quality, and product teams is essential to meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in a product development or R&D

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a product development or R&D environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience designing mechanical systems, assemblies, and components for production.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including mechanics, materials, thermodynamics, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience developing and testing prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems to meet product performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
• Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software.
• Lead and support product development activities from concept generation through prototype development, testing, and product launch.
• Develop and execute engineering test plans, analyze results, and provide recommendations for design improvements.
