CBA Elevator Consultants, LLC is a leading consulting firm specializing in vertical transportation solutions. Established in 2004, we pride ourselves on excellence in design, engineering, and customer service. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a Mechanical Designer who will work in AutoCAD to create detailed and accurate layout drawings for various types of elevators and escalators in compliance with local governing codes and standards.

Job Duties, Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys on elevators to gather measurements and information on equipment layout and spacing.
• Create and finalize drawings in AutoCAD based on templates and modify for building specific custom solutions.
• Work closely with Engineering team to develop detailed drawings and specifications for elevators and related machines, using AutoCAD and additional equipment / software.
• Ensure compliance with code regulations on the national and local level.
• Perform FE analysis on custom drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Perform engineering calculations to determine elevator equipment mechanical, electrical, HVAC loads, transmitted to the building. Provide machine beam, pit, and buffer reactions.
• Review submittals (mark ups) by architects, consultants, elevator contractors, and our engineering staff and revise layout drawings accordingly.
• Cooperate with significant interfaces such as: Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Architects, Installation Experts, Field Project Managers, Office Management.
• Effectively communicate and work with coworkers and outside teams to complete projects with proper code compliancy.
• Ability to comprehend architectural and structural building drawings.
• Attention to detail, design, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.

Your Experience

• 3+ Years of experience in Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor. Revit experience a plus.
• Direct elevator industry experience is a plus.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable but not required.
• A portfolio containing school and / or work projects you have completed.
• Strong Multi-tasking and Organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively, proactively, and independently as well as a team-based environment.
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Ability to work well in a team environment under tight deadlines.
