Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Mechanical Engineering design engineer to develop new, disruptive technology and products within the SPTS Life Science Dispense business. You’ll contribute to product layout, prototyping, and production ramp, leading technical work directions and defining milestones.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration, CAD design, and validation planning, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with proven product design/analysis capabilities.
• Typically 4+ years of product development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design components and subsystems for mechanical, electrical, optical, and fluidic systems.
• Create CAD designs and detailed part/assembly layouts.
• Develop specifications and manage interfaces between systems.
• Plan and execute test/validation methods (fit/function, tolerances, EMI, safety).
• Own components through early technology development from concept to production-ready solutions.
• Support development of assembly tools and processes in labs and with ODM partners.
• Collaborate across teams and geographies to integrate designs.
• Track risks and communicate status to stakeholders.
