Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking an R&D Co-op (Mechanical Engineer) to join its global R&D team. You will test, troubleshoot, design, and build packaging equipment and components, working with application experts and project teams across products for food, medical, and protective packaging.

You will use SolidWorks, prepare drawings, develop prototypes, and present results to leadership at each rotation. Relocation is not required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical engineering skills.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and mechanical design principles.
• Ability to create and modify engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, assemble, and modify food packaging equipment and components through hands-on engineering work.
• Design new equipment and components using SolidWorks to support ongoing R&D projects.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to build prototypes and commercial equipment.
• Prepare and modify engineering drawings for active development projects.
• Plan and conduct machine testing to validate equipment performance.
• Plan and conduct experiments supporting new products and processes.
