Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology, chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on lab experience, in a research, pilot, or prototyping setting.
• Experience handling solvents and chemicals safely and following procedures.
• Ability to collect and communicate technical data with accuracy and clarity.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to perform basic statistical analysis and support prototype fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document materials, coating, processing, and prototyping experiments with scientists and engineers.
• Prepare solvent-based solutions, dispersions, and polymer formulations from bench to larger batches.
• Conduct coating trials from bench scale to pilot-scale or continuous processing equipment.
• Set up material paths, tooling, fixtures, and data collection systems for experiments.
• Prepare samples and perform membrane and material characterization including physical, mechanical, and chemical analysis.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and communicate data to enable timely technical decisions.
• Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment and manage chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
