The W. L. Gore Enterprise Analytical Team is seeking a co-op student to join the Elk Mills 1 facility in Elkton, MD for 3-6 months.

You will perform thermal analysis and materials characterization using techniques such as TGA, DSC, TMA, chromatography and spectroscopy, supporting R&D and process development. You are pursuing a degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field, are returning to complete your degree after the co-op, and will work in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
• Successful completion of at least sophomore year prior to the start of the co-op.
• Returning to continue degree studies following the co-op.

Responsabilités

• Designing experiments to answer questions and solve problems related to materials and products from customers from a wide range of backgrounds
• Preparing samples and performing analysis in a high-volume analytical laboratory
• Interpreting the results of your experiments and sharing these results through presentations or reports
