Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. is seeking a Research & Development Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and specialists in developing innovative label solutions.

The role emphasizes strategic product development, design excellence, and strong cross-functional collaboration to meet customer needs and drive margins. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Procurement to align priorities, guide projects, and deliver growth-focused innovations for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science required.
• 5 years of R&D experience in pressure-sensitive label materials or related manufacturing.
• 5 years of leadership experience and cross-department collaboration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to resolve conflicts.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D team of engineers, scientists, and specialists; set goals and provide performance feedback.
• Provide product design, troubleshooting methodology, technical support, coaching, and training.
• Lead new product development with risk mitigation; manage project pipeline for growth and margins.
• Ensure cross-department alignment of priorities; manage R&D resource capacity.
• Partner with Sales & Marketing to identify gaps and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with customers to define needs and value of new technologies.
• Work with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Process Engineering on product and process development.
