Kelly is seeking a Machinist to support engineers in maintaining and developing etch and deposition equipment. This role focuses on prototype fabrication, mechanical assembly, equipment modifications, testing, and daily lab operations.
Fabricate, modify, assemble, and rebuild complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
Operate manual mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, saws, and other shop equipment.
Manufacture prototype components, fixtures, and equipment modifications.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD (SolidWorks) models, schematics, and technical specifications.
Inspect components and assemblies for design and quality compliance.
Support prototyping, testing, design validation, process development, and equipment upgrades.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-performance issues.
Document fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and testing activities.
Collaborate with engineers and process-development teams to improve equipment and processes.
Support daily operations and maintenance of the applications lab.
2 + years of experience in machining, mechanical assembly, equipment maintenance, or prototype fabrication.
High school diploma or GED.
Familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks) software.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience repairing or rebuilding complex systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Experience using manual machine-shop equipment and precision measurement tools.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to learn new equipment, technologies, and processes.
Associate degree or technical certification in machining, manufacturing, mechanical technology, engineering technology, or a related field.
Experience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, or high-technology environment.
Prototype machining, fixture design, or fabrication experience.
Experience rebuilding precision mechanical systems.
Knowledge of shop safety and quality-control procedures.
Familiarity with vacuum systems or semiconductor-processing equipment.
