Job summary

Harvey Nash in Round Lake, IL is seeking a hands-on Research and Development lab assistant to perform a range of tasks from assembly to testing, data recording and calibration of instruments, onsite. You will work with MS Office and basic statistical tools, read schematics, and maintain equipment and inventory.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills such as word processing, data entry and e-mail.
• Basic science and/or math skills.
• Team orientation and ability to work with others.
• Mechanical or Electrical background would be preferred.
• Follow procedures while thinking troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of research and/or development laboratory tasks and experiments.
• Make detailed observations, analyze data and interpret results.
• Maintain medical device laboratory equipment and inventory levels.
• Write experimental reports, summaries and protocols.
• Develop and maintain record keeping for experiments performed.
• Perform limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments.
• Assign routine assembly and testing portions of projects.
