Job summary

Our client in Illinois is seeking an R&D Lab Technician to support Product Development, Testing, and Laboratory Operations. Onsite role with a 12-month contract and hourly pay between $26 and $27.

The ideal candidate has an AA or higher, 1–2 years in mechanical/electrical roles, and strong documentation skills. Responsibilities include running experiments, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting, analyzing data, and supporting lab projects.

Qualifications

• AA or higher degree required.
• 1–2 years mechanical or electrical experience preferred or engineering internship.
• Experience with technical documentation and record keeping.
• Ability to troubleshoot using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, and analytical balances.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic statistical tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory experiments, testing, and product performance evaluations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and testing documentation.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate laboratory instruments as needed.
• Analyze test data and prepare reports, summaries, and protocols.
• Support routine assembly, software script testing, and R&D projects.
