Job summary

ABB is seeking a R&D Lab Technician to set up and execute product tests for electrical motors, documenting results and ensuring quality. You will configure lab equipment, perform wiring and assembly tasks, and support continuous improvement of procedures in a hands-on environment.

The role requires a 4+ year engineering or 6+ year Mechatronics/Electrical track, strong safety practices, and the ability to read schematics. Onsite work at ABB facilities with global impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of engineering lab experience or
• Associate’s degree with 6+ years in a hands-on lab role or
• High School with 8+ years related experience and 2+ years in a lab

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical testing of motors per test plans and regulations.
• Set up and maintain lab test equipment including dynamometers and drives.
• Document procedures and results accurately for audits and QA.
• Ensure safety compliance and operate within lab QA procedures.
