Job summary

Anduril Industries in Hudson, NH is seeking an experienced R&D Engineering Technician to collaborate with development and test engineers to create and evaluate innovative optical systems for airborne, maritime, and space platforms.

You will fabricate high-quality electro-mechanical assemblies, manage rapid prototyping, and oversee internal prototyping resources while supporting external testing initiatives and maintaining cleanroom and ESD protocols.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience as an electro-mechanical technician with high-precision micro-assemblies or vacuum systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage R&D builds from concept to completion with minimal oversight.
• Strong knowledge of basic electrical principles and wiring harness fabrication.
• Experience documenting workflows and drafting SOPs from a technician perspective.
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and ESD-control rules.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and test engineers to build and test infrared optical systems for airborne, maritime, and space platforms.
• Fabricate high-quality electro-mechanical assemblies and ensure reliability.
• Develop integration/test fixtures and operate existing test equipment; report results.
• Own internal prototyping resources and manage R&D space from a facilities perspective.
• Travel to external laboratories and test sites as needed.
• Support external testing initiatives and ensure rapid prototype success.
