Job summary

Brayton Energy, a developer of high temperature compact heat exchangers, seeks a Heat Exchanger Technician to support fabrication, testing, and prototype production. You will contribute to QA, documentation, and the troubleshooting of issues in an R&D environment, working closely with engineers and senior shop staff.

Ideal candidates have an Engineering Technology degree or equivalent and 5+ years in fabrication or testing, with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in leak testing and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fabrication, testing or related technical work.
• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with attention to documentation.
• Experience with leak testing methods and QA checks.
• Comfort reading engineering drawings, specs and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Execute fabrication tasks across stainless steels and nickel alloys.
• Prepare assembly details for tack welding and fixturing.
• Perform leak tests and verify system integrity.
• Record data, test setups, and results for QA.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet schedules and objectives.
• Attend long-term heat exchanger durability tests.
