Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field (or equivalent combo).
• Currently enrolled student with anticipated graduation may qualify.
• Strong scientific knowledge of meat and non-meat ingredients and their functionality.
• Proficient in online work systems and product development software tools.
• Continuously updates food/meat science and product development skills and understands current plant processes.
• Ability to read/write English for forms and documentation.
• Ability to multitask; strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills.
• May require travel up to 10-40% depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Assist in product development and commercialization from bench-top concepts to full commercialization.
• Conduct pilot plant tests and production trials to generate viable prototypes and refined formulations.
• Collaborate with R&D team members to contribute to hands-on innovation and successful product development.
• Manage product formulations using an online database system; maintain project files and key product data.
• Document and organize product reviews; inform stakeholders on project progress.
• Improve development skills through training and understanding USDA/FDA regulations.
