Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• 1+ years in a food lab, R&D, or food manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with food processing techniques, sensory evaluation, quality control.
• Knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, FSMA guidelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory software.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in formulation and development of new food products and process improvements.
• Compute moisture, salt content, ingredient percentages, and other factors.
• Prepare samples for sensory evaluations and consumer testing.
• Document findings and maintain development records and reports.
• Oversee line trials and first production with operations and quality teams.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and labeling requirements.
• Maintain equipment for food testing in R&D kitchen.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, and Marketing.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new ingredients.
