Job summary

Stratas Foods is seeking a mid-level Scientist to support the RDI strategy with a focus on product development, applications testing, and technical training. This role emphasizes collaboration across the Dressings, Sauces, Mayo, and Condiments portfolio and requires prior product development experience in relevant categories.

The position involves developing specifications, participating in studies, and delivering actionable reports.

Qualifications

• Education: MS/PhD in Food Science or BS with equivalent industry experience.
• 2–4 years' Product Development experience or CPG preferred.
• Experience in Dressings, Sauces, Mayo, Condiments or emulsions beneficial.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an R&D team member for programs that are broad in scope and high visibility.
• Provide technical support and service; assist in training sessions.
• Assist in planning and executing studies to evaluate product development across the portfolio.
• Ensure formulations and data sheets are accurate and up to date.
• Support cost-savings and performance improvement projects.
• Conduct competitive audits to identify product improvement opportunities.
• Travel up to 20–25%; may drive up to 3 hours or air travel.
• Collaborate with onsite teams and participate in meetings to drive objectives.
