Job summary

Stratas Foods LLC in Memphis is seeking a Product Development Food Scientist to support the Research, Development and Innovation strategy. This mid-level role focuses on product development initiatives, application testing and technical training participation across Dressings, Sauces and Mayonnaise portfolios.

You will contribute to product specifications, cost savings and performance improvements while collaborating with onsite teams and management.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Food Science or BS with equivalent industry experience.
• 2–4 years of product development experience in Dressings, Sauces, Mayo, Condiments, or emulsions preferred.
• Solid food science expertise; knowledge of baking, fats & oils chemistry and processing; experimental design.
• Proven judgment, strategic thinking and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Participate in RDI programs to identify opportunities and milestones.
• Assist in development of objectives, timelines and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Develop and test product formulations and specifications.
• Support cost savings and performance improvements across portfolios.
• Conduct competitive audits and drive product improvements.
