Job summary

Stratas Foods in Memphis is seeking a mid-level Product Development Food Scientist to support the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) program.

You will contribute to product development in dressings, sauces, mayonnaise and condiments, perform tests, develop specifications, and help drive cost savings and product improvements.

This role requires solid food science knowledge, strong problem solving, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Food Science or BS with industry experience.
• 2–4 years product development experience in Dressings, Sauces, Mayo, Condiments or emulsions preferred.
• Solid knowledge of ingredients, functionality and experimental design.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Support RDI strategy to drive new product development.
• Perform application testing and develop formulation improvements.
• Prepare product specifications and data sheets.
• Assist in competitive audits and cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide technical support to internal/external teams.
