Job summary

Stratas Foods is seeking a mid-level Scientist to support the RDI strategy in driving innovative dressings, sauces, and mayonnaise products. You will contribute to product development, testing, and technical training sessions while collaborating with the broader RDI team.

The role requires MS/PhD in Food Science (or BS with industry experience) and 2–4 years in product development or CPG, with strong skills in data interpretation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education: MS/PhD in Food Science or BS with equivalent industry experience.
• Related Experience: 2–4 years product development or CPG.
• Equipment/Software Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an R&D team member for assigned programs and projects with high scope and risk.
• Technical Support & Service: participate in training, troubleshoot and resolve complaints.
• Application Testing/Development: plan and execute studies, maintain records, report findings.
• Product Specifications: ensure formulations and data sheets are accurate.
• Product Improvements/Cost Savings: support cost-saving and performance projects.
• Competitive Audits: participate in audits to identify gaps and improvements.
• Travel up to 20-25% (able to drive up to 3 hours or air travel).
• Collaborate with onsite teams and participate in meetings to drive objectives.
