Neurocrine Biosciences in San Diego seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the R&D Finance team. You will partner with key clinical and medical affairs functions, support financial planning, modeling, and reporting, and act as a business partner to drive program success.

The role requires 4+ years in financial analysis (MBA preferred) and strong Excel, GAAP knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration. Base salary ranges from $97,000 to $133,000 with a 20% annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or closely related field with 4+ years of financial analysis experience.
• Master's degree or MBA with 2+ years of similar experience.
• Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work.
• Experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of MS Excel or other financial modeling tools.

Responsabilités

• Acts as a key partner in financial and business planning analysis, reporting, and operations.
• Creates/updates financial models to support decision-making and provide insight to Senior Leaders and project teams.
• Reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual results and variances.
• Analyzes departmental budgets and supports forecasting efforts.
• Collaborates with cross-functional partners within assigned functions and Accounting.
• Identifies and delivers opportunities to simplify processes and create operational efficiencies.
• Performs ad-hoc analyses to inform decisions and recommendations.
• Tracks progress against financial goals.
