Job summary

Glaukos Corporation seeks a Finance Lead for R&D to act as a strategic partner, delivering financial insights to support informed decision-making, resource allocation, and operational excellence. You will oversee planning, reporting, and analysis while driving accuracy and visibility across the R&D portfolio.

Responsibilities include month-end close, forecasting, variance analysis, and collaboration with Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, data science, or related field.
• 5+ years of finance experience.
• Experience building complex financial models in Excel.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, SAP, or a comparable ERP system.
• Medical device, pharmaceutical, or R&D finance experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, quarterly forecasts, and annual planning for the global R&D function.
• Develop and maintain study-level financial trackers for budgets, spending, purchase commitments, invoices, and remaining funding.
• Prepare variance analyses and identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate accruals.
• Provide financial guidance to department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Use analytics, automation, and visualization tools to improve reporting and decision support.
• Support business cases for strategic initiatives and product launches.
• Collaborate with teams across R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Audit.
