Job summary

CWILL is launching an R&D Management Trainee program in the United States for new engineers. You’ll join a product engineering team and work on production systems from day one with mentorship from senior engineers.

Over time, you’ll grow into an engineer who can independently own modules and make technical decisions. You’ll contribute to AI-powered customer service tools and SEO-enabled SaaS products designed for Shopify brands, gaining broad system exposure and hands-on ownership.

Qualifications

• Recent US university graduate (BS/MS) or within 1–2 years of graduation.
• Experience with backend languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, or PHP.
• Strong web fundamentals and SQL knowledge.
• Able to read documentation and complete tasks.
• Reliable and communicative, surface problems early and follow through.

Responsibilities

• Develop features across the full stack with a backend focus.
• Assist with production bug investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in system stability, performance, and maintainability.
• Follow team engineering standards: code reviews, documentation, and testing.
• As you grow, take on increasing ownership of modules and technical decisions.
