Job summary

Rocket Lab's Albuquerque-based R&D Engineering Intern role offers hands-on experience in developing a phase-change material process to improve solar array temperature control. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a STEM degree, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, and can commit 12 consecutive weeks. On-site work, paid at $20/hour, relocation stipend may be available.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline with at least one semester remaining post internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above required.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or projects) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a fast-paced group of professionals to apply engineering concepts to real challenges.
• Attend frequent 1:1s with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning while providing progress updates.
• Enjoy tech talks and network with other interns and employees through events.
