Job summary

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, document technical data, and support supplier evaluation. This role is onsite/hybrid and focuses on professional growth within ABB’s R&D ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, in the United States.
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.

Responsibilities

• Get exposure to design, develop, analyze, and document product designs which meet requirements of the Service Medium Voltage Retrofit Markets.
• Learn to work in Agile environment, pull backlog items and deliver them to acceptance criteria.
• Conform to Product Technical Specifications and international standards using DfX methodologies.
• Create and maintain User stories in Azure DevOps with supporting technical documentation.
• Learn and execute designs with solid modeling software (PTC Creo/Windchill) to create models and BOMs.
• Prepare and maintain product documentation and regulatory standards.
