Description

Supira is currently looking for an entry-level R&D engineer to join our team who will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met. Generate technical documentation, analyze test data, and communicate findings to senior engineers and management while in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is a full-time on-site position and will require reporting to our offices located in Los Gatos, CA.

Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience

• Conduct experiments and analysis to evaluate the performance of devices and materials.
• Participate in the development of new test equipment and test methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product specifications are met.
• Ability to adjust to changing timelines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Interface with senior engineers and management to provide feedback and updates.
• Create and release controlled documents and files such as: Test Methods, Test Reports, SolidWorks parts/assemblies/drawings.
• Collect, analyze, and present test data and observations.

Preferred Skills & Hands-On Experience

• Experience in machine shop practices, practical use of tools, and ability to do machining and construction of fixtures and components is a plus.
• Experience with 3D printing systems.
• Experience using Instron tensile testers and BlueHill Software.
• Hands-on lab experience building and/or testing systems.

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• 0-3 years of previous experience.
• Comfortable using CAD/SolidWorks.
• Willingness to learn and take input from others.
• Previous work experience in a professional environment.
• Able to work independently and in a team setting.

Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $90,000 to $110,000 + equity + benefits.
