Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Software Engineer in Plano, Texas to join the Core Infrastructure team. You will contribute to developing IT management solutions for large enterprises, focusing on mainframe environments and high-assurance software.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of software development experience, a BA/BS in Computer Science, and hands-on work with VSE, z/VM or z/OS, plus assembler skills. Strong collaboration and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Prior experience as a developer in VSE, z/VM or z/OS platforms.
• Strong Assembler skills.
• Knowledge of VSE subsystems, POWER and CICS.

• Work within a scrum team in an agile development environment, with an opportunity to gain exposure to many of the key agile roles.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Participate in test plan reviews and develop automated test scripts to deliver high quality software solutions.
