Job summary

Broadcom Inc. in Plano, Texas is seeking a seasoned software developer to help shape the future of IT management software. You will join a scrum team, design and review code, and develop automated tests to ensure high-quality outputs.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in mainframe software development, strong Assembler skills, and hands-on work with VSE, z/VM, and z/OS platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Experience as a developer in VSE, z/VM or z/OS platforms.
• Strong Assembler skills.
• Knowledge of VSE subsystems, POWER and CICS.
• Experience with mainframe VSE environments - z/VM, VSE JCL.
• Experience with Assembler, REXX, VSE macro languages.

• Research and develop innovative new solutions that will help to shape the future direction of Broadcom.
• Work in a scrum team within an agile environment, gaining exposure to key agile roles.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
